The IRS just announced that the purchase of personal protective equipment – such as masks, hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes – are deductible medical expenses. As a result, these amounts are considered qualified medical expenses eligible to be paid or reimbursed under health FSAs, HRAs or HSAs.
